- 2) What is the connection between Gillies Coffee and GC Custom Services?
- GC Custom Services is an affiliate of Gillies Coffee Company, "America 's Oldest Coffee Merchant." Gillies Coffee Company, established in 1840, is a small family business continuing a 165 year heritage of manufacturing fine coffee. Gillies is a Charter Member of the Specialty Coffee Association of America, The 100-Year Association, and The Roasters Guild.
- 3) What is the quality of the coffee?
- Gillies' coffees are of gourmet quality and are shipped at the peak of freshness. Gillies Coffee Company is USDA Certified Organic, Fair Trade Certified, Smithsonian Institution Certified Shade Grown, and Certified Kosher by Vaad Hakashrus. Gillies believes in the ever elusive practice of transparency. Country of Origin, district, and farm information are available to the buyer, as well as organic certification and kosher certification information is available upon request. Gillies Coffee Company has won numerous awards and an unparalleled respect for its coffees.
- 4) Are the coffees certified kosher?
- All Gillies Coffee is Certified Kosher by Vaad Hakashrus in Pikesville , Maryland . Passover certification is obtained each year for Regular and Decaffeinated Coffee only. Please contact us prior to Passover if you require copies of our special Passover certification.
- 5) When is the coffee roasted?
- Gillies Coffee roasts coffee fresh daily. Gillies Coffee, as all other strictly wholesale roasters, anticipates order and reevaluates its roast schedule to accommodate changing order patterns. You receive fresh aromatic coffee that is days, not months old.
- 6) How do I know the coffee is fresh?
- Gillies Coffee packs coffee in multiple-layered foil packages with a one-way valve. The bags are evacuated and then surrounded in a nitrogen gas atmosphere to protect the coffee from oxidation. Orders are fulfilled in just a few days. "Born-on" dating is available on individual packages at no extra cost.
- 7) Can I order bulk coffee?
- Bulk coffee is available from fifteen (15) pounds to a container load. Please call (877) 235 6776 for further information and price quotes.
- 8) Is there a minimum order?
- The minimum order is forty-eight (48) units of custom labeled coffee.
- 9) How are my labels printed?
- Your custom designed label is a full color 2¾" x 4" glossy label. The label is printed by a high resolution digital printer with specialized design capabilities.
- 10) Will I be billed before I approve of my artwork?
- The customer will not be billed before approving of custom label. A proof will be sent via e-mail by the GC Art Department for this approval. Although billing information is asked when ordering, the customer is not charged until the customer is satisfied with their label.
- 11) How do I send my own label or logo to the GC Art Department?
- Custom Artwork and Logos may be sent via e-mail to Art@GCCustomServices.com . Custom artwork must be 4" x 5" with a resolution of 300 DPI. Logos must be 2" x 3" with a resolution of 300 DPI. All artwork must be in .jpg, .eps, or .pdf format.
- 12) What are my shipping options?
- GC Custom Services ships via United Parcel Service (UPS). Expedited shipping is available in addition to Standard Ground Service at an additional cost.
- 13) How much time elapses between the placement of an order and actual shipping?
- Due to customization, turn around time on most orders is ten (10) business days from approval of artwork.
- 14) Will I be notified when the coffee is shipped?
- An e-mail confirmation is sent to you as an order shipment confirmation.
- 15) Can I track my order?
- Tracking is available on the UPS Web Site. If desired please e-mail or call GC Custom Services and request the tracking number corresponding to your shipped order.
